Security and compliance automation platform Vanta announced yesterday that it has raised $150 million in a Series D funding round led by Wellington Management. This financing marks a 69% increase in the company’s valuation from its prior round in July 2024, which stood at $2.45 billion. With this infusion, Vanta’s total external funding now reaches approximately $504 million. The funding reflects heightened investor enthusiasm for cloud-native, AI-infused risk-management solutions amid escalating cyber threats and shifting regulatory landscapes.
Founded in 2018 by Christina Cacioppo, Vanta’s AI-driven platform continuously monitors security controls and automates compliance verification in real time. Today, the company supports over 12,000 clients in 58 countries, including enterprise names like Microsoft, Marks & Spencer, and Aflac—businesses increasingly targeted by cyberattacks. The newest funding will fuel global expansion, accelerate AI innovation—specifically its new AI agent that speeds up security reviews by around 81%—and strengthen its multi‑region workforce spanning Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney
