Why APAC Organizations Must Rethink Their Cloud & AI Security

A recent article highlights that many organizations in the Asia-Pacific region are still in the early stages of their cloud strategy, even as identity-based risks and AI-driven threat vectors are rapidly escalating. According to industry-wide intelligence, 2025 is witnessing a shift in cloud security: AI-driven threat detection, automated continuous validation of cloud controls, and cybersecurity mesh architectures are becoming key defensive components. For multi-cloud and hybrid environments in particular, the complexity of visibility and control is forcing security leaders to move away from mere perimeter defense and adopt real-time posture management. As a strategic takeaway, organizations must assume the worst (zero-trust), monitor continuously, and design their security posture for a world where cloud-native and AI-enabled threats are the norm. The message is clear: what worked in the past won’t suffice for the threats of this year and beyond.
