CrowdStrike, the Austin‑based cybersecurity firm known for endpoint protection and threat intelligence, announced a 5% workforce reduction—about 500 jobs—as part of its roadmap to reach $10 billion in annual recurring revenue by early 2026. The company attributes this cut to growing reliance on AI tools that streamline operations and elevate productivity. At the same time, CrowdStrike reaffirmed ongoing hiring in strategic roles such as customer-facing and product engineering positions despite the layoffs.
